SQL Reference
Submit the current transaction.
COMMIT [WORK | TRANSACTION]
COMMIT commits the current transaction. All changes made by the firm are visible to others and are guaranteed to be persistent if a crash occurs.
WORK
TRANSACTION
Use ROLLBACK to abort the transaction.
If not inside the transaction, issuing COMMIT will not cause any harm, but will trigger a warning message.
Submit the current transaction and make all changes permanent:
COMMIT;
The SQL standard specifies only two forms: COMMIT and COMMIT WORK. Otherwise, this command fully meets the requirements.
